He is a plastic artist, essayist, lecturer, writer, researcher and studies about Leonardo da Vinci’s work.
Adriano Colangelo is an Italian man who has been living in São Paulo,
Brazil, for many years. He develops his artistic expression through a
completely new process of pyrography in card paper and big wood panels. He
has always improved his technique of his artistic life through permanent and
untiring research of processes and materials.
He presented his work in many exhibitions, for example some important
individual ones in some cities in Brazil, such as in São Paulo, Rio de
Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba and some international cities as in Naples,
Rome, Toronto, Pinamar in Argentina and collective ones in São Paulo, Rio de
Janeiro, Embu das Artes, Verona and Hannover.
The artist has traveled to small and big cities for years, knowing and
studying the wild nature of the Latin American continent. He got enchanted
with the population, cultural diversity, and with the geographic magnificence
of this place, which derives the pleasure from the most diversified spatial
configurations, lighting and coloring. When the cultural artistic activities
allowed him to, he dedicated himself to study deeply the different kinds of
society. In parallel, the contact with anthropologists and shamans could give
him a new way of perception and opened the doors of the Earth Planet of this
continent.
This contact has revealed to him amazing beauties, very special people and
the most inhospitable and mysterious different sorts of small places which
provided the formation of a very rich mosaic which comprehends from a
tropical night, in which glowworms mixed with the sidereal geometries, to a
typical folk dance or a passion with the unique splendor of Brazilian woman,
representing Gaia.
This link justifies and remarks that the figure of the present woman in his
works wants to show not only the female sensuality but also the unique
fascination of a flowered forest or the flashy light of South Cruise as if
they were a unity, an organic body which is in perfect harmony with the
totality. For these reasons, the Angels, the Devas, forest waterfall, skies
and female nudities make part of the mystery of creation in this magnificent
and rich unique place of the Planet.
